The Burnaby Steelers are pleased to announce the signing of 2007-born forward Arsiyan Van de Brande.
Van de Brande (Brasschaat, BEL) put up 5 goals and eight assists for 13 points with the Tampa Bay Juniors in USPHL Premier. He also dressed in six games with Thunder Hockey Club in the NCDC and represented Belgium at WJC-20 D3A as part of their U20 group.
“Arsiyan brings good size, speed and a strong skillset to our lineup, giving us another player who can make an impact at both ends of the ice. He has the tools and competitiveness we’re looking for, and we believe he has a lot of potential to grow within our program,” said Steelers General Manager Craig Carter.
“We’re looking forward to seeing him develop and contribute in a Steelers uniform,” he added.
The Burnaby Steelers would like to extend a warm welcome to Arsiyan and the Van de Brande family.
The Steelers open the 2026-2027 season in Langley on Saturday, September 19. The team plays their home opener on Sunday, September 20.
